Friday 31st December sees Muak (People Together) take over London’s Cargo to see in 2011 with a very special New Year Eve Masquerade Ball.

Continuing it’s mission to bring together the world’s foremost DJs, producers and musicians. This night is no exception as we welcome Jon Cutler. The acclaimed DJ, Producer and Distance Records boss. He will be performing an exclusive headline set.

Taking place from 9pm – 9am, the Muak New Year Eve Masquerade Ball will see the festivities flow across 3 rooms, each featuring our much loved residents and some very special guests.

The first comes live and direct from The Cargo Arches on Thursday November 18th! For your listening pleasure we have Fantastic Mr. Fox headlining with support from Phantom and Young Athletes League.  And to round of the party we have  a special guest DJ slot from Becoming Real.

FANTASTIC MR. FOX

Based in Manchester but originally from Wolverhampton, Fantastic Mr Fox has been producing since the age of 14, gradually taking elements from a variety of genres and adding them to his sound.

PHANTOM

Phantom are a two-piece dark party machine from London. A strictly live synthetic band, part acoustic/part electronic, no backing track, no samples. Playing together since the tender age of fifteen, Timmaz Zolleyn and Sam Doyle have developed their respective instruments to perform a modern palette of sounds, touring with Holy Fuck and supported Friendly Fires and The xx along the way.

YOUNG ATHLETES LEAGUE

Young Athletes League is a South One London eastern synthetic loop.

Rotating guitars in (e)motion. Hi-NRG midi failure; Waterborne snare multi-tracking; Surfing out of suspense parties luxuriant on the dance floor.

BECOMING REAL

Become Real is Toby Ridler. And he’ll be rounding off the night with a very special DJ set. His sound has been described as post punk, and askew hip hop with textured Dubstep beats. Toby exclaims that IMPOSSIBILITY! Is what’s behind Becoming Real. It’s more of an eski/minimal, grime vibed ditty with some Technicolor sounds coupled with some kind of other wordly minimal song writing
