Our Friday madness continues with another unhealthy offering of top quality entertainment, free entry, and drink specials all night. Bass Clef, Chrome Hoof, Ross Allen, David E Sugar and The Chief take on the sonic reins of the night to the delight of many a danceoholic. Bring it on!
Bass Clef eschews standard Dubstep templates, instead opting for a more schizophrenic approach that takes-in his evidently well-worn collection of Idm, Dub and Jungle records, mashed up and re-processed with a heavy analogue underlay. Chrome Hoof's futuristic, psychedelic metal/electro/disco hybrid pours shame on those that dare to brand themselves ‘unique'. The ten member orchestra combine bassoon, sax, trumpet, keyboards, violin, cello, percussion, samplers, guitars, bass, drums and five or six vocalists to create an unholy, and unique, disco grind.
David E Sugar's massive ‘Oi Oi New York This Is London' single on Greco-Roman brought his rave-pop to the attention of the masses resulting in remix work for bands such as The Rumbleships, Klaxxons and Operator Please. Now a firm favourite on the more informed clubbing scene, DE Sugar personifies ‘party'. Ross Allen needs no introduction, a man of many talents and one of London's most well known faces on the music scene. Over the years he's distinguished himself in many fields from DJing to radio presentation, to A&R, to label management to journalism and beyond. The Chief fills in the gaps with tip top genre bending choices, reflecting the 3 Bar Fire music portal's wide musical remit.
As well as sizzling emerging talent, Cargo is throwing in drinks promos too and from 5pm-8pm you'll be able to purchase bottles of house wine for a snip at £10 a bottle. Beer drinkers fear not, as you can get 5 bottles for £10 and Savannah cider is a mere £2.90 all night long.
