Pishter events presents Jimi Tenor Live
JIMI TENOR (Finland)
Musician and composer Jimi Tenor has never settled for the traditional role of a pop artist. He prefers to be known as a productive musician whose work goes beyond current trends, and as a performer who combines the finest elements of afro-american music, spontaneous silliness and shameless glamour. Tenor's music, along with his design and technical innovations - he's created his own instruments - springs from experimental rock. His first band Jimi Tenor & His Shamans was influenced by early 80s industrial rock with instruments made out of scrap metal and plastic. Today Jimi Tenor is an established European artist with an audience consisting of clubbers and alternative rock enthusiasts.
MONKEY BUSINESS (Czech Republic)
Monkey Business started life in 2000 and after the release of their first record quickly became an overnight sensation. Four well received albums later this funky band from Prague is still selling out tours. Bandleader and producer Roman Holy was been talent scouting far and wide to give Monkey Business a funky edge and have invited funk legend and James Brown bandleader Fred Wesley to add some old school funk flava to the mix. Another notable guest from the world of funk has been David Williams, a regular in Michael Jackson and Madonna's bands.
