Following our last sell-out show at one of East London's coolest live venues, Last.fm returns to Cargo - this time on a Friday and with a huge line up! Headliners Holy Ghost Revival hail from 1965 Records, the same label that brought you The View, The Metros and Toddla T. Described by The NME as "Grotesque, violent, absurd and utterly vital", we're intrigued to check out the band being hotly tipped as "The new Manics, turned up to 11".
In support we have flown in Brooklyn's latest avant-noise rockists These Are Powers. These guys frickin rock YEAH! In their own words: We are free. We are a language of sound. We are hymns piggybacking on noise collages, club beats and ragas... you know these guys are going to be off the level.
Also in town for an exclusive London date is the one and only Mugison. Often referred to as "Iceland's answer to Beck", we've been watching him climb the Last.fm Hype Chart for months now, and are itching to check out his much talked-about live show.
As with any Last.fm Presents event, the line up just keeps on going with fresh, new talent: rounding out this month's live acts are The Keyboard Choir, a 5-piece keyboard outfit who jam out the best abstract electronica we've heard in a while.
Filling the gaps will be 1965's head honcho and turntablist to the stars Raf Daddy, who will be ably aided and abetted by Isa GT from the mighty Girlcore. We are rocking til 3am.
