This month's Soundcrash clubnight in the hallowed arches of Cargo is just what you expect from the hard-working Soundcrash team, combining the coolest new acts around with some of the heavyweight artists who have won a place in our hearts and record-crates for eternity.
Simon Green, aka Bonobo, aka The Monkey King, has come a long way from his humble Brightonian beginnings. Emerging onto the scene just as 'chill-out' and 'laid-back' were the buzz-words of the music press, it seemed that his music was simply meant to be well known, and it wasn't long before the advert and compilation requests were pouring in. But Si didn't let this pigeon-holing get the better of him, and he continued to progress both as a producer and a composer with some dance-floor filling big beats to add to is musical cannon, until he flew his Tru-Thoughts coup and landed sweetly in the Ninja Tune camp, where his beat mastery has been allowed to blossom. Tonight he will be playing us some of his favourite tunes on the decks.
Having drawn comparisons to Portishead, St.Germain and even Groove Armada, there is no question that the Paert TIme Heroes debut album (soon to arrive) is an exciting, eclectic and fresh journey over different tempos, incorporating live instrumentation, deep jazz roots and organic soul nourishing goodness, and this is more than adequately reflected in their live show as you will see for yourself!

Keep Up! is a collective of DJs, Producers and general music lovers that has been promoting parties in London since 2003, with a current residency at the White Horse in Brixton. Its five members, Tom Central, Nexus, Jus' Jules, Ave Blaste and Invisible A have put on some of the best names in the London music scene over the last four years and aim to showcase the broadest music as possible to its audiences and invite guests they respect. On the dancefloor, you can expect to hear Hip hop, Funk, Soul, Beats and Breaks, Disco, Reggae, Boogie, Fidgit House, Dubstep, Drum n Bass and everything in between.
