You asked, we listened. For a very special one off Easter Extravaganza, Wonky Pop will return to its clubbing homeland at Cargo. We will be celebrating all that's cool and credible in contemporary pop music, and as the following day is a bank holiday... expect all night partying to kick off the Easter weekend.
We've got the perfect lineup too! There's the electro-alt-pop of Biggie covering Dan Black, who's been tipped by all the right folks to dominate 2009. Sweden's very own electro-producer-wunderkind Kleerup will be performing ahead of the release of his debut album. You'll remember he's the man behind that incredible Robyn track (‘Every Heart Beat') that went to number one. Epic.
New Kitsune signings Crystal Fighters will also be on hand to seriously out-cool everyone. Their track ‘I Love London' is pure genius. We're really looking forward to Dimbleby & Capper - not two people, but one unsuspecting beats based songwriter from London: Laura.
Debutant Disco fill out the live lineup and how far they've come to do it! All the way from Madrid, the outfit - fronted by Celeste Bell, daughter of XRay Spex's Poly Styrene - play a mixture of post new wave power pop with ska, soul and punk influences.
